  • Comcast Problems – Cycle power to the Comcast Business Gateway modem to see if that clears the problem. Please contact NOBLE for further technical support.

Barcodes

  • The barcode format for patron and item barcodes is CODABAR with a MOD-10 check digit. Patron barcodes begin with a 2 and item barcodes begin with a 3. The next 4 digits are a unique prefix for the library. The next 8 digits are sequential and represent the unique number. The last digit is the check digit.
  • Patron barcodes assigned by the Quipu eCard process begin with a 5 followed by the patron’s home library prefix or 6660 if the patron does not live in the NOBLE service area.

Most public libraries rely on a single Comcast Business Class Internet connection for all connectivity (NOBLE and Internet) while academic members rely on their institution’s Internet connection to access NOBLE via the Internet.
