Screencasts
- Using OverDrive Marketplace for Selection, Part 1 — Logging in, setting up your default cart, and adding titles to your cart from featured lists (like New York Times bestsellers, ALA Youth Media Awards, etc.)
- Using OverDrive Marketplace for Selection, Part 2 — Using different types of searches to find and select titles and add them to your carts
- Using OverDrive Marketplace for Selection, Part 3 — Using OverDrive’s special “Smart List” carts for selection
A couple of key points from the screencasts:
- You should set up a default cart before you begin, and give it a name that starts with three letters in uppercase to represent your library: BEV, LFD, etc.
- You can select new titles or copies of titles we already own
- Most titles are licensed so that we “own” them for as long as we have OverDrive. Some titles are licensed for a certain number of checkouts (usually 26.) You can select either — either way, it’s up to you to decide if the title is worth whatever the publisher is charging for it.
