Envisionware Components

  • Management Console — Allows staff to make, change, and cancel reservations, access a reporting module, and configure preferences. One management console per library building.
  • Reservation Station — Can be run in self-serve patron mode on a dedicated PC or staff mode on a Reference or Circulation workstation. Included with Management Console. Unlimited copies can be installed in library. Self-serve reservation stations should have an attached receipt printer.
  • Print Release Station — Queues print jobs and provides interface for payment. May attach to vending device. Includes reporting module. Supports up to 20 printers and 100 clients. Multiple release stations may be needed for libraries with multiple floors etc.
  • Reservation Client — Counts minutes and controls access to PC. Can display usage policy. Communicates with Management Console to ensure only the patron with the reservation can login.
  • LPT:One Client — Counts pages, calculates cost, and displays confirmation dialog box. Can be used with or without at print release station.
  • Web Module for Reservation — Installed on web server for patron self-reservation.

Blocking Patrons from PC’s

To Block for PCRes Block

To block individual patrons from logging into PC’s managed by PC Reservation, you need to setup a rule in the Management Console. You then edit the patron’s record in Evergreen and set the Internet Access Level to ‘PCRes Block‘.

On the PC Reservation Management Console, select User Validation Rules Wizard under the configure menu. Add a rule that says:

Using Evergreen as the Validating Authority and If Patron Information contains PCRES BLOCK
Do Not Allow Computer Use
