Installing and configuring the DYMO LabelWriter 450 Label Printer

Install the DYMO 450 on your workstation

Before connecting the DYMO LabelWriter printer to your workstation, install the software from the disc provided with the printer. If it does not run automatically, run the DLS8Setup.exe file and follow the prompts.

Once the software is installed, connect the printer via its USB cable, it should install itself.

Using the DYMO label utility that was installed with the printer, print the test label to confirm that the printer is installed correctly.

Configuring Evergreen to print to the DYMO

Login to Evergreen

Go to Admin -> Workstation Administration -> Printer Settings Editor

Under Printer Context, Make sure the Label printer radio button is selected

Under Advanced Settings, make sure Print Silently using MozillaPrint is UNchecked.

Click on Page Settings, and set the following on the Margins & Header/Footer:
– All Margins should be set to zero
– All Headers and Footers should be set to –blank–

Click on Select printer and print test page

Choose the DYMO in the Printer dialog box and click OK. The test page should print to the label printer.

You are now ready to print spine labels.
