Individual copy records can have information or warnings in the Alert field. A typical alert might be to check the item to make sure all pieces are present on both checkout and checkin.
The alert in the copy record looks like this:
When you scan this copy in either Checkout or Checkin, an alert will pop up that includes the text of the alert message. You must click Yes to confirm that you’ve read and understood the message, and are ready to proceed with the transaction.
