Permalinks: Linking to the Catalog by Record Number

You can link to a specific title record in the catalog by record number. The easiest way to get this link is to use the Permalink option in the catalog. You can either click on this and then copy and past the link from the location bar of the browser, or right-click on it and choose Copy Link Location.

The permalink now carries the current scope and search depth information from the record.

This link is for a record that was found in a search scoped to all NOBLE libraries:

https://evergreen.noblenet.org/eg/opac/record/3134669?locg=1

Here’s the link for the same record found in a search scoped to Gloucester and with Gloucester’s subdomain:

https://gloucester.noblenet.org/eg/opac/record/3134669?locg=18

Here’s the same link, scoped to Gloucester but after we clicked “Show All Copies” :

https://gloucester.noblenet.org/eg/opac/record/3134669?copy_depth=0;locg=18

Note that nothing is really permanent. If this record is deleted or merged into another record, the link will display the bibliographic record with a note that the record has been deleted.
