NOBLE meetings scheduled for the morning will be cancelled if:
- The host community or institution cancels or delays opening of any school or college classes or
- Has declared a state of emergency, or
- Has a parking emergency in effect, or
- There is an areawide state of emergency declared.
If a “snow” or other alternate date has been set in advance, that will be in effect unless a similar set of circumstances occurs or continues through the “snow” date. A “snow” date must be set for all general NOBLE meetings scheduled in December, January, February and March.
If a NOBLE meeting is scheduled for the afternoon of a storm day, please check NOBLE’s electronic mail and your fax machine. If no information is available there, call the host institution or the NOBLE office.
As practical, weather and travel forecasts for meeting dates will be evaluated the prior afternoon by NOBLE staff. Please check NOBLE’s electronic mail and your fax machine the prior afternoon for any updates/postponement notices.
This policy applies to all NOBLE meetings.
