It&#8217;s a multitasking screen and as such it&#8217;s both flexible and cluttered.<\/p>\n<p>You can see the whole unified editor here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1.png\">[Screenshot]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are the four different components of the Unified Editor:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Record Summary<\/strong><br \/>\nBasic information from the MARC record<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1a.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1a.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Unified Editor: Record Summary\" width=\"1187\" height=\"77\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3408\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Templates<\/strong><br \/>\nDropdown of template to select for inputting or editing records, plus links for template management: Delete, Import, Export, Save<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1b.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1b.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Unified Editor: Templates\" width=\"1166\" height=\"27\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3410\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Volume and Copy Creator<\/strong><br \/>\nThe section of the screen allows you to work with call numbers and barcodes.<\/p>\n<p>The top line, with the gray background, is for batch processes, and is not likely to be useful for us except for template management: you can set the classification type, call number prefix and call number suffix here and save them to a copy template.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1c.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/wp-content\/uploads\/unified1c.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"unified1c\" width=\"1170\" height=\"153\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3416\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bottom line is where you enter or edit call number or barcode information.<\/p>\n<p>There are also some options here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Autogenerate Barcodes<\/strong> should normally be on so you can automatically fill in a series of multiple barcodes when you&#8217;re adding multiple copies<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use Checkdigit<\/strong> should normally be checked when you are working with standard <strong>Codabar Barcodes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Print Labels<\/strong> may be on or off, depending on whether or not you&#8217;re printing barcodes through Evergreen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The most important option on the screen is here: <strong>Re-barcode\/Update Items<\/strong> is the <strong>SAVE<\/strong> button for adding or updating items.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copy Editor<\/strong><br \/>\nThis area of the screen is where you can enter or edit item attributes.
