The group also engages in activities that highlight the value of library services for legislators who are voting on funding and issues important to libraries. Staff from any sector of library services are welcome to join this committee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/working-groups\/advocacy\/\">Working Group Page<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Collection Management Team<\/h2>\n<p>The Collection Management team studies all issues related to cooperative collection management within NOBLE. In FY27, the team will follow up on work from the previous year to reconsider the way NOBLE supports collection management in member libraries. The group will be responsible for revising the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/about-noble\/policies\/collman\/\">NOBLE Collection Management policy<\/a> and potentially selecting a collection management tool as a network-wide or cooperative purchase.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/working-groups\/collman\/\">Working Group Page<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Electronic Resources and Database Working Group<\/h2>\n<p>This group will study and make recommendations on various issues related to the bibliographic and item database, including cataloging standards and record mapping issues. They are also responsible for making recommendations on the Aspen catalog, other electronic resources, and the integration of electronic resources.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/working-groups\/erdwg\/\">Working Group Page<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Marketing Working Group<\/h2>\n<p>The NOBLE Marketing Working Group works on marketing NOBLE-wide services to help bolster the marketing efforts of individual libraries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/working-groups\/marketing-working-group\/\">Working Group Page<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Resource Sharing Working Group<\/h2>\n<p>The Resource Sharing Working Group will assist in revising policies and standards to assure and improve the smooth functioning of resource sharing, and circulation in general. The sharing of resources was one of the founding principles of NOBLE, continues to be our hallmark service, and is key to the significant funding we receive from the Mass. Board of Library Commissioners.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noblenet.org\/sis\/working-groups\/resourcesharing\/\">Working Group Page<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Software Development Working Group<\/h2>\n<p>New for FY27, the Software Development Working Group will assist NOBLE in ensuring any funds allocated for software improvements to our open-source systems address the needs of NOBLE member libraries. The Working Group will prioritize\u00a0 development projects for Aspen, Evergreen and, eventually, the NOBLE mobile app that are either funded solely by NOBLE or through a development partnership, like the Evergreen Collaborative Development Initiative (ECDI).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All working group meetings are open to any interested library staff in NOBLE.
