Libraries who apply for their own domain name can host their website at NOBLE and still use their domain name. Instead of using the address www.noblenet.org/mylibrary for your web address, you would use www.mylibrary.org (or whatever your registered domain name is). In addition to hosting your website under your registered domain name, NOBLE can configure the mail server to receive mail for your domain. The mailto links on your web pages can refer to librarystaff@mylibrary.org and be sent to librarystaff@noblenet.org.
You can apply for your own domain name at www.networksolutions.com. The cost of registering a domain is $25 per year.
