Evergreen Report Tips

Template Tricks

  • Selecting ALL for Call Number Range — If you’re using a template that includes a call number range, it’s probably a required field that you can’t skip. You can, however, give it the range of all call numbers by putting 0 (zero) in the first box and z in the last one.

Recurring Reports

  • Recurring Reports Start Date — If you’re setting up a recurring report, you almost never want to have it run as soon as possible. Give it a logical start time like the first day of next month at 5 AM, and it will run on the first day or every month at that time.
  • Selecting All Copy Locations, Circ Modifiers, etc. — When you select all of the copy locations (or any other set of codes) for a report, you are only able to select the ones that are currently in the system. This means that if you set up a monthly report of items added by copy location and later add a new copy location, it won’t be included in the report. You will need to stopping the report and start a new one.
  • Stopping a Recurring Report — To stop a report from running, select it from your Reports folder and delete it.
