Starting Monday, May 10th, the Lynn Public Library will offer open door hours. Patrons can stop in to browse the Adult, Young Adult, and Children’s collections, no appointment needed. Computers and other resources will also be available on a walk-in basis, but appointments for computer use are strongly encouraged. Click here for our hours.
We will continue to offer curbside pick-up of items and our staff is happy to help patrons by phone or email.

The Library is currently not accepting Lynn Census forms. Forms can be brought to City Hall and be put in the Johnson St. entrance drop box. Please contact the Lynn Election office at 781-598-4000 with any questions.

The staff of the Lynn Public Library is dedicated to serving the needs of a diverse population whose interests range from scholarly research to cultural pursuits to entertainment. The Library encourages an environment where its patrons may inform, educate, and enlighten themselves. Our collection numbers almost 125,000 volumes, with over 30,000 in the Children’s Department alone. The large Reference collection is known for its emphasis on Lynn history, genealogy, the Civil War, business and law. The Circulation Department keeps current with all the best sellers.
