Senior Center Book Discussion Group

This Librarian-led book discussion group meets on the second Wednesday of the month (September through June) from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center on Converse Street. The group combines the enjoyment of reading a single title and the desire to share insights, observations, and feelings about that one book with others who have read it. The group leader is Assistant Director Liz Doucett.

Titles For 2006

The book group held at the Senior Center will have its next meeting on Wed., Sept. 13 at 10:30. We will be reading Blue Shoes and Happiness: The New Novel in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series by Alexander McCall Smith. This book is the 7th in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series and is filled with fun and intrigue. It's a novel that does a wonderful job of skillfully blending humor and pathos, telling stories through the voice of its heroine, Precious Ramotswe. We will also be discussing our reading choices for the rest of the year. Please plan to join us, enjoy the fun and lively discussion about the book and contribute your ideas for other books to be read by the group over the year.
