Technology Classes
The Library provides free classes on the Internet and other library databases. We offer a basic introduction to the Internet and how to search it, and a basic introduction to our online catalog and periodical index.
Classes are offered Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, and Thursday and Saturday mornings at 10:00 am. They last about an hour to an hour and a half. If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled classes we will be happy to arrange one at a time that is convenient for you.
We try to limit our classes to a small number of students in order to provide more individual attention, so we ask that you sign up in advance. If you'd like to sign up for a class, contact the Reference Department in person, by phone, or by e-mail.
The Youth Room also offers special Internet classes for young people and their parents, focusing on sites that are fun and useful for kids and students, and discussing issues of Internet safety and how to surf the web wisely..
