Accessibility for the Disabled
Thanks to our recent renovations, the library is now completely accessible to the disabled. A ramp is available to access the Avon Street entrance, and inside the building all floors and rooms are wheelchair accessible using either a wheelchair lift or full-size elevator.
All electronic resources offered by the library are accessible to visually impaired patrons using a workstation with an oversized (21") color monitor. This computer is equipped with ZoomText, a screen magnification program, and Jaws, a speech synthesizer. Also, assistive listening devices are available for all programs and events held in our public meeting room.
