At this event, participants will have an opportunity to play Dance Dance Revolution,
Guitar Hero III, Rayman Raging Rabbids, Mario Kart, and Wii Sports.
Some of the games are kinetic and require physical exertion.
Participants will be under the supervision of a Library staff member at all times.
To maximize participation, only 40 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This permission slip must be returned to participate.

Mark your calendars! Tuesday, July 15th, Swampscott Public Library will host a fun filled program with an ocean theme. At 6:00pm, we will have free face painting & tattooing; and sell pizza, desserts & beverages. At 6:30pm, Paul Erickson will present music, magic and live animals for the entire family to enjoy. Mr. Erickson has co-authored several books for children, including Dive to the Coral Reefs, which was featured on the PBS Reading Rainbow television program. There will be drawings for prizes. The July selection of the adult book club will be The Queen’s Fool: a novel by Philippa Gregory. We will meet on Tuesday, July 22nd at 7:00pm. There will not be an August meeting. Instead, sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Club and get some Goodies for Grownups!

Knitting Club

Join the Needlers a knitting group at the Swampscott Public Library. This group meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 11:00am in the Meeting Room. This group meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 11:00am – 12:30pm in the Meeting Room. The July meetings will be July 1st and July 15th. We will meet in August on August 5th and August 19th. Crocheters are welcome to join our group.

History Buffs

Lou Gallo and his town historians will not be meeting during the summer. Check the September-October newsletter for their new schedule.

Dinner Detectives

The Dinner Detectives, the library’s mystery book group, will meet at 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 1st to discuss Female Detectives and Mystery. On Tuesday, August 5th at 6:00pm, the topic will be Transportation and Mystery. Everyone is welcome.
