Read Across America

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 3 (one day late) with a Read Across America program!
The National Education Association annually sponsors Read Across America. Now in its twelfth year, the program focuses on how important it is to motivate children to read, in addition to helping them master basic skills. The nationwide reading celebration takes place each year on or near March 2, the birthday of children’s author Dr. Seuss.
The Children’s Room will be celebrating Read Across America with a special Dr. Seuss read aloud program on Tuesday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m There will be some Seuss related activities and we will have some light refreshments. No registration is needed.
