Practically Speaking English
This program is a chance for our Russian population to come in and practice their skills in communicating in English. The group will be lead by a non-Russian speaker to encourage members to only participate in English. The group will meet Tuesday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Help using overdrive on your Kindle e-reader will be available on Tuesday mornings from 10:30am-11:30am. Call the library 781-596-8867 and reserve a 30 minute spot to have one-on-one help with your Kindle Fire.
My Book is Better than Your Book–Now Monthly!
This book club is being revamped. The group will meet on the last Tuesday of the month at 11:00am. If you’re someone who loves to pick out your own books and enjoys sharing what you have read with others, then this is the book group for you. Participants can come to the library and discuss a book that they particularly liked with other readers. Everyone can discuss their individual books and make suggestions to the other members. Refreshments will be served.
Join the Needlers a knitting group at the Swampscott Public Library. This group meets weekly, every Wednesday at 10:30a.m. Crocheters are welcome to join our group. We make our own projects or items to be donated to charity. Members can be beginners or experts.
NEW – DROP-IN KNITTING GROUP
The Needlers have started a drop-in knitting group welcome to anyone who wants to stop by and knit or crochet. The group meets weekly, every Thursday at 1:00pm.
Computer Club: Technology Travelers
Do you feel left out when people begin talking about Facebook, or social networking, Internet, emails and Pinterest? Would you like to become part of the 21st century? Then join our computer club. It meets on Thursday mornings from 10am -11am. This club is basically for all the newcomers to technology; so don’t feel intimidated if you don’t know how to access any of these sites. Come in and learn with others who want to become computer literate. It should be a fun group with no pressure, just some exposure to all of these new things that are around for us to see. This, however, is also a club where those knowledgeable in technology might want to come by and share their knowledge with others. You can join any time. Just come by the library at 10:00am on Thursdays. The library is closed, so just knock with your keys on the door and we will let you in.
ADDITION TO THE COMPUTER CLUB
The second hour from 11:00-12:00 pm will focus on specific topics.
March 6th: Google/Gmail
March 13th: Facebook
March 20th: Twitter
March 27th: Pinterest
No preregistration required for either of these groups.
