The Independent Music Awards – for folks who don’t like the Grammy Awards.

Rolling Stone Magazine has named the top 100 albums of this decade. Many of them are in the Swampscott Public Library’s CD collection. Here’s the list:
100 best albums of the decade

For a different take on the best music of 2009 or of the decade, check out these lists from Pitchfork:
Pitchfork Top 50 Albums of 2009
Pitchfork Top 200 Albums of the 2000’s

And for my personal opinion, I’m thrilled when a list doesn’t include Radiohead (over-rated!).

Also, it is time for the Grammy Awards. The show will be January 31, 2010. Here’s the list of nominees
52nd Grammy Nominations
