Poetry Month
Help us celebrate Poetry month in April by adding a poem to our Poetree (poetry tree). Bring in a short poem (your own or a favorite) to attach to a leaf and hang on our tree. We hope to have the tree covered with poems by the end of the month.
Be sure to check out our display of poetry books and our list of recommended poetry books as well.
Teen Poetry Contest Awards Ceremony

The finalists have been selected for The Lee Golomb Cadiff Teen Poetry Contest. Thank you to all the teens who entered such wonderful poems that they made the judges’ task very difficult.
On Monday, April 28th at 7:00pm, we had The Lee Golomb Cadiff Teen Poetry Contest awards ceremony. The ceremony honors the 12 local poets from grades 7th through 12th who submitted the best original poems. Last year, we were thrilled by the quality and diversity of the poetry. The prizes each poet won are listed on the attached page.
The Teen Poetry Contest is possible through the assistance of Mrs. Norma Cadiff Finn, Friends of the Swampscott Public Library, Arts Resources in the Town of Swampscott, Barnes & Noble, the Swampscott Middle School and Swampscott High School, and the Tin Box Poets.
