This site, maintained by Mary Sands, contains a wide variety of quality information about the Beats. The pages cover such topics as philosophy and religion, children of the beat generation, teaching the beats, beat art, and jazz. There are also substantive biographies of many beat individuals and reviews of books and films.
One of the first and still one of the best beat sites, Literary Kicks is maintained by Levi Asher. It contains biographical essays on the major Beats, as well as subject essays on such topics as "Beat Connections in Rock Music." A good site for links and news also.
Unspeakable Visions: The Beat Generation and the Bohemian Dialectic
The site was created by Michael Hayward; it consists of a graduate paper he wrote for his History of Publishing course at Simon Fraser University (Master of Publishing degree). If you're interested in the publishing history of the Beats, this is a good place to start. Hayward covers alternative and mainstream publishers, the underground press, literary magazines, etc.

This site is a joint project of the Lowell Celebrates Kerouac! Committee and the Jack Kerouac Subterranean Information Society. It is intended for those who cannot get to Lowell or would like a better understanding of the city which was so important to Kerouac's life and work. The site takes the reader on a virtual walking tour of downtown Lowell and the Centralville and Pawtucketville neighborhoods and gives a good sense of the milieu in which Kerouac was raised.
