Supporting Our Library
Saugus Public Library
Saugus, Massachusetts
Community Support
The Saugus Community has a long history of generous support for its Public Library. Continuing this tradition of giving of their time, talents, and financial assistance, several business groups, organizations, and community leaders have participated in celebrity story times, sponsored programs, run fundraisers, helped maintain our building, built our collections, and promoted our Library to the Residents of Saugus.
The photographs at the right of our National Library Month Celebrity Story Times depict Lt. William Marks from the USS Constitution, State Representatives Kathi-Anne Reinstein and Mark Falzone, Artist Yetti Frenkel and Author Fran Hodgkins, the Ironworks Rae Emerson, and the Saugus Police Department’s Lt. Steve Sweezey.
Carpenito Real Estate has sponsored the landscaping services for the Library grounds since the new building opened. The Saugus Business Partnership funded our movie licenses, funds programs including the popular “Eyes on Owls”, and Sponsors the Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, assisting both the Friends and the Foundation with their fundraising endeavors. Saugus Rotary sponsors the Friends Ice Cream Social, funds the Curious Creatures program, and donates money to purchase books for the Children’s Room. Saugus Lions supports services aiding our Blind and Low Vision patrons. Lions’ funds our DVS Descriptive video collection and assisted us with the software and training for our Assistive Technology Computer. The Saugus Chamber of Commerce help sponsor the Annual Wine Tasting with food and auction items from their restaurants and businesses. The Library continues to work with Saugus.net on activities and programs that benefit the Town.
To view a complete listing of our Community Supporters, visit our Donor Display Wall on the stairwell landing. Don’t see your name displayed yet? Not to worry….there will be many more opportunities to pledge your support for the Library.
Thank you in advance for your help.
