Pace Center for Genealogy Research
The Pace Center for Genealogy Research has been established in the Reference Room of the Saugus Public Library. Funded by the John R. Pace Trust, in memory of Joseph Wilson Pace, the Center will develop a collection of genealogy materials purchased with the annual income of the endowment.
Ancestry Library & HeritageQuest Online
The Saugus Public Library Foundation has funded several new items for the Library that make Local History and Genealogy researchers' lives easier. The Foundation has enrolled the Library in two database services, Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest. Both databases provide information for genealogists researching their family histories. Ancestry. com and HeritageQuest are available on all computers in the Library. HeritageQuest is also available from home with a Saugus Public Library Card. Click on the link from the Databases Page to access these exciting new resources. The Foundation has also purchased a new microfilm reader/printer with a scanner and a PC which allows scanning, printing and e-mailing material from our Local History, Genealogy, and microfilm collections. The new equipment is located in the Pace Genealogy Center in the Reference Department. Thank you, Saugus Public Library Foundation for helping enhance the Library building, programs, services and collections.
