Salem Chamber of Commerce

A non-profit organized in 1914, the Chamber provides a forum for businesses to prosper and better connect with the community. In giving a strong voice for member businesses, it enhances the business climate and quality of life in Salem. Some of the annual events held by the Salem Chamber are:

  • Essex Street Fair and Bizarre Bazaar Street Fair
  • Salem Chamber Auction
  • Haunted Happenings Annual Grand Parade

The Chamber also began the Salem Main Streets Initiative in 2001.

With the support of Mayor Driscoll, the Salem Chamber of Commerce, the Salem Partnership, and the support of financial institutions and real estate companies/ developers, Salem Main Streets is actively involved in helping Salem reach its potential. Salem Main Streets was founded in 2001 by the City of Salem and a coalition of downtown businesses and area residents. It is modeled after the highly successful community revitalization program developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
