You are welcome to read current newspapers in our Reading Room or in the Reference Room or make photocopies of what you need; however, our newspapers are non-circulating items.
Newspapers
The library has subscriptions to local and national newspapers. The latest issues and are kept in our Reading Room along with a week's-worth of back issues.
Further back issues of Salem News, Boston Globe, and New York Times are available on microfilm in the Reference Room. There is also a collection of vintage newspapers some dating back to the 1780s available on microfilm as well.
