Library Catalogs

Residents of Northeast Massachusetts have access to high-quality local, state, and regionally funded databases of full-text periodicals, health and business resources, biographical and literary databases. Select a database from one or more of the categories below. When prompted, input your 14-digit public library patron barcode (on your library card) and begin searching.

- Auto Repair Reference Center : information on most manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles.

- Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center : covers full-text content for many of the most popular hobbies, crafts and recreation activities today..

- Business Source Premier : includes company and industry profiles, country reports, and market research reports.
- General BusinessFile ASAP : research all business and management topics.
- Morningstar Online (Salem residency required for remote access) : in depth information and ratings on mutual funds. Online access is restricted to one user at a time; therefore, if it's in use please try again. This replaces the print edition of Morningstar.
Career Guidance (Salem residency required for remote access)
- Ferguson's Career Guidance Center : contains career information, with job and industry profiles, career forecasting, a monthly newsletter, college planning and financial aid information, and cover letter and resume help.

- Consumers' Checkbook (available in library only) : this nonprofit website rates local service firms and provides unbiased consumer rating and information on local auto repair shops, home repair services, health care providers, and more.
Downloadable Audiobooks
- Overdrive : online catalog of downloadable audiobooks available with titles available in MP3 and WMA formats.
Encyclopedia
- Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia : provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
- Grolier Online : includes the Grolier Encyclopedia as well as the New book of Knowledge which is appropriate for younger children.
