The Glass Universe

In February, the Broad Street Readers will gather to discuss Dava Sobel’s The Glass Universe, the true story of a group of women whose remarkable contributions to the burgeoning field of astronomy forever changed our understanding of the stars and our place in the universe.

“An elegant historical tale…[from] the master storyteller of astronomy.” –The Boston Globe

“Sobel has distinguished herself with lucid books about scientists and their discoveries . . . [She] vividly captures how her brilliant and ambitious protagonists charted the skies, and found personal fulfillment in triumphant discovery.” —The National Book Review

The Broad St. Readers is a club for adults age 55 and up. New members are always encouraged! Join fellow readers for an engaging and thoughtful discussion on February 27th at 11:00am at the Salem Council on Aging.
