Please join on Friday, January 13th at 7:00pm in the Freeman Room for an evening of poetry with John Burnside, Professor in Creative Writing at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
An award-winning poet, memoirist, and fiction-writer, Burnside is one of only two poets to win the T.S. Eliot Prize and the Forward Prize for the same collection, Black Cat Bone. His main interests are in American literature, poetry, ecocriticism and the language of environmental activism. Burnside contributes a regular column on nature to The New Statesman, and occasional pieces and reviews to The London Review of Books and The Guardian, among others.
