In addition to serving the research needs of students, and OWHL has a number of professional development resources for faculty.
Through the library, you have online access to pedagogical, education, and learning theory journals such as The Chronicle for Higher Education, American Education Research Journal, Education Week, and many more.
You can access journals like these through the database Education Journals. It contains the full text of over 600 titles, spanning literature on primary, secondary, and higher education as well as topics like special education, home schooling, and adult education.
If you are looking for a specific periodical, simply click on the “Publications” link at the top left and search for the journal title. If the journal you are seeking is not listed, let us know! We may have access to it elsewhere.
As with all OWHL databases, you can access Education Journals from anywhere on campus. If you want access while off campus, you will need your BlueCard number and a library PIN to validate your PA credentials. The library PIN is a 4-digit number created for you at the OWHL. If you do not have a PIN or have forgotten yours, simply stop by the library and we can create one for you in a couple minutes.
