Please join us on Wednesday, February 17th at 7pm for the first student edition of NestED. Brittany Amano (’16) and Darius Lam (’17), will discuss the inspiring projects they have worked on and the importance of entrepreneurship.
Amano is the founder of The Future Isn’t Hungry, a non-profit that provides food to kids in low-income school districts. As she told The Phillippian last year, “the main difference between us and a regular food bank is that one, it is completely youth-run and second, we are all about healthy and balanced food.” Amano launched The Future Isn’t Hungry at age 12, and she will talk through the start-up process.
Lam is responsible for Stacklife, a site that enables the discovery of library materials by visualizing the vast resources of the entire NOBLE network as if they were on a single shelf. His presentation will focus on how to get started building an app.

NestED, the OWHL Makerspace’s speaker series, invites makers, educators, artists, and innovators to come speak at the Nest, demo their projects, and provide inspiration. All members of the Phillips Academy community – students, faculty, and staff – are invited to attend.
