The OWHL may be under construction, but many of our books are still available! All you have to do is place a hold on a book in the OWHL catalog. The book will then be delivered to the library’s temporary home in Lower Left for you to pick up and read at your leisure.
Simply search for the book in the library catalog and click on the title. For example, say you really want to read There there by Tommy Orange, the fierce, funny, and heartbreaking first novel from a Native American author who powerful voice is being mentioned alongside Louise Erdrich and Sherman Alexie. To get this book, look for the “Place Hold” button with the green checkmark at the right-hand side of the screen.
After clicking that button, you will be asked to supply your “Library Card Number” and your “Password or PIN.” The Library Card Number is your Blue Card ID number. The Password or PIN is a 4-digit number that you can set-up at the Help Desk in Lower Left.
Once you submit the hold, you will receive an email when the book is ready to pick up!
If you have any questions, simply stop by the Help Desk in Lower Left of Paresky Commons.
