You are invited to participate in the first ever Hack-a-Thon @ Phillips Academy: Hack Andover 2016! We will kick off at 7:00pm on Friday, April 1st in the Makerspace!
The Theme for this year: Saving Time! We have spent a lot of energy talking about time: how we measure it, prioritize it, use it, waste it, save it, chop it, kill it, manage it, and yes…schedule it. Now let’s HACK it! We are looking for multifaceted teams of ~5-6 students to help Andover rethink Time itself.
Who can participate? Anyone. This program is not only for the hard core coders! In fact, just the opposite. This is for anyone with ideas and likes to solve problems. Nearly everyone has insights into how we might rethink Time at Andover. Teams are invited to draw from a mix of talents— artists, designers, historians, musicians, scientists, coders—you name it, we can all help rethink Time!
How to get involved? Register here: http://www.hackandover.com/
The first 6 teams of 5-6 students to register will receive an awesome Hack Andover 2016 t-shirt.
Food, Energy & Nourishment: We will have pizza, fruit, veggies, and other energy enriching snacks on hand as well. On Saturday we’ll have LaRosa’s brought in for dinner.
Judges: A team of judges who are ready to select the winning HACK!
Prize: The winning team will walk away with some new Misfits, a few other surprises, and perhaps most importantly, distinction as the first ever Phillips Academy hack-a-thon winners!
