Lee’s novel has been heralded by more than 30 news outlets including The Wall Street Journal, O Magazine, Marie Claire, and Real Simple, and was chosen by the American Booksellers’ Association as a Top 10 Debut for 2018. Everything Here is Beautiful follows two sisters who face the consequences of one’s mental illness and explores a slew of issues: sibling love and loyalty, immigration, cultural displacement, marriage, childbearing and -rearing, interracial relationships, healthcare delivery, and the limits of love. Lee’s talk will touch on these issues and share her writing process.
Ms. Lee is brought to us by the efforts of Saffron Agrawal ’21, who has been working hard to connect with women authors and bring them to campus.
All members of the community – students, faculty, and staff – are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
