On Sunday, September 25th from 9am to noon, Sanjli Gidwaney, the Design for Change Boston’s Director, will be leading a 3 hour long workshop to teach the organization’s four step design process: feel, imagine, do, share. Students that participate in this workshop will then be able to take this new knowledge and be able to participate in PA’s first ever social change design-challenge that was designed by the OWHL and Community Engagement Office.
This design challenge, A Brighter Blue: Social Innovation for Campus Change, which will run into the beginning of winter term, will ask students to team up and create a social change project they would like to see implemented on campus this year. Teams will have two opportunities to pitch their project to a panel of judges, and the OWHL will award $1,000 to the winning team to implement their project on campus.
*Please note that in order to participate in this design challenge you will need to attend the Design for Change workshop at the Nest (Makers Space). For planning purposes for this workshop we would like to have an idea of who will be attending. If you could take a moment to fill out this form to sign-up for the workshop, we would greatly appreciate it.
Please continue to send any questions about this design challenge to Ms. Howard at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Brighter Blue launch event at the Nest!
