Paul S. Horowitz ’51 Memorial Library Fund

Each calendar year a number of titles are purchased through the Paul S. Horowitz ’51 Memorial Library Fund. This is the list of titles purchased during the 2016-2017 Academic year.

Established in 2001 by Sidney R. Knafel, Class of 1948, of New York, New York, in memory of Paul S. Horowitz, Class of 1951, for the purchase of reference materials for the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library.

In addition, the following electronic resources are supported.

Chicago Manual of Style Online: Completely searchable and easy to use. It provides recommendations on editorial style and publishing practices for the digital age. Now offering the full contents of the 16th and 15th editions.

The Literary Encyclopedia: An expanding global literary reference work written by over 2000 specialists from universities around the world, and currently provides more than 5100 authoritative profiles of authors, works and literary and historical topics.

Oxford Dictionaries Online: (NOT AVAILABLE OFF-CAMPUS) A guide to the meaning, history and pronunciation of over half a million words.
