Susan Alovisetti, Emily Goss, Liza Oldham, Elisabeth Tully, and Claudia Wessner wore pedometers every day during October and collectively recorded 641 points over the month-long competition to cruise to victory over all other Academy departments.

Ray Oldenburg coined the term “third place” in his classic study The Great Good Place. In Oldenburg’s view, an individual’s “first place” is the home and family. The “second place,” where we actually spend the majority of our time, is the workplace or school. “
PA’s own Writer in Residence, the amazing Paul Yoon, will be reading from his books Once the Shore and Snow Hunters in a special after-hours event sponsored by the English Department at the OWHL this evening. The National Book Foundation has labeled Yoon a “Young Writer to Watch.”
Many adults in our community had the opportunity to speak with Mimi Ito last year on the topic of “Connected Learning.” The OWHL team is delighted that Ms. Ito has been selected to give the Keynote address at the upcoming virtual conference, The Digital Shift
