Download and Transfer via USB

Transfer via USB

This is the screen you get when you choose the option to download and transfer a book via USB.

After downloading the file, you use your USB cable to connect your computer and Kindle. Your Kindle will appear as a drive on your computer. Copy your downloaded file from your computer to your Kindle’s documents folder.

Transferring a title from your computer to a Kindle reader using a USB cable is only necessary for older Kindles that lack WiFi or when WiFi is unavailable. Amazon will not transfer borrowed books using the 3G network that they use for purchased books.
