Search the NOBLE Web Catalog for more print and electronic books owned by McQuade Library. Try these sample subject headings:
| Astrophysics | Motion |
| Force and Energy | Nuclear Physics |
| General Relativity | Physics --Problems, exercises, etc. |
| Mathematical Physics | Weights and Measures |
To find additional related subject headings, consult the

Articles
Selected print indexes and periodicals:
Applied Science & Technology Index (1980 - 2002) [REF]
Z7913 .A65
Print and Electronic Periodicals:
For a complete list of the library's periodicals holdings in
both formats, go to Journal
Finder. Here, you can search by title or subject for all
print and full-text electronic periodical holdings. Print journals
can be found in the Periodicals Room on the 2nd floor of the
Library.
Selected electronic journals:
- Journal of High Energy Physics (a peer-reviewed electronic journal published by the institute of Physics Publishing)
- New Journal of Physics (a peer-reviewed electronic journal publishing orignial research in areas of physics, produced by the Institute of Physics)
Preprint Sites
Preprints are papers that have been submitted for comment and
review among peers, for publication in journals, or prior to
presentation at conferences. If you are looking for information
on current research, start here.
- ADS (Astrophysical Data System)
- arXiv.org e-Print archive (Electronic archive of research papers)
- CERN Document Server
- Gray Lit Network: A Science Portal of Technical Reports "a portal for technical reprt information generated through federally funded research and development projects." Searches Departmnet of Energy, Department of Defense, EPA, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
- SPIRES (Stanford University)
Search these databases to find articles:
- Wiley
Interscience allows searching of full-text of
over 300 leading scientific, technical, medical, and professional
journals published by John Wiley & Sons.
- Expanded
Academic ASAP is a multidisciplinary database
covering general reference, health, business, science and
more. Some full-text is included.
- Academic
Search Premier is a large multidisciplinary database
that provides indexing and selected full-text to a wide variety
of subjects, including the humanities, science, business,
medicine, and education.
- MEDLINE
provides authoritative information on medicine, nursing, dentistry,
veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical
sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of
Medicine
- Scientific
American Archive Online contains the entire
editorial content of Scientific American with all special
issues from January 1993 through to the present.
- Scitation has multiple levels of usage, including a free level that allows for abstract searches of a huge database (AIP publishes a ton of physics journals ranging from publications for high-school and college physics teachers to some of the most highly regarded top-flight research journals) Thanks Prof. Looney!
