Computers
The Melrose Public Library offers public access to the Internet on 17 computers in the adult library during all hours that the library is open. All 17 computers also have Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. In addition there is one express 15 minute computer for Internet access only.
The Melrose Public Library also offers three computers dedicated to the NOBLE catalog in the Adult Library.
PrintingAll computers in the library are attached to printers to make either black and white or color prints for 10 cents a page. All fees collected help to pay for printer supplies.
On our network computers you may not use your own paper for any reason. In the reference room we have 2 computers not connected to the Internet for Word Processing. We also have a separate computer and printer where you are able to bring in and print using resume or other special paper including labels and envelopes.
Children's Room Computers
The Children's Room has six Internet computers
for children. These computers are filtered, providing a degree of protection
for children using the Internet, but parents should be aware that the
library is not responsible for those sites that are unprotected by this
filter. Parents are encouraged to use the Internet with their children
and to read the following before allowing their children to use the Children's
Room computers:

The Children's Room also has two computers with games for preschoolers.
All children must sign in at the desk before using any of the computers.
Printing
There is a 10 cents per page printing fee in the Children's Room.
