The large Reference collection is known for its emphasis on Lynn history, genealogy, the Civil War, business and law. The Circulation Department keeps current with all the best sellers.

This event is a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Public Library Fund, which is supplemented by matching money by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Tickets are $15 and are available at the library or through the mail with a $1 shipping fee. Contact the library at 781-595-0567 or lynnq@noblenet.org for more information.
Serving patrons of decertified libraries
At their meeting of June 26th, the Lynn Public Library Board of Trustees voted to no longer serve patrons of decertified libraries.

The City of Lynn has shown the political will to prioritize the library, and the Trustees strongly encourage the administrations of other cities and towns to do the same.

This policy is effective Tuesday, July 1, 2008.
