  • RootsWeb — RootsWeb provides a variety of genealogical services, including the ROOTS-L mailing list, links to genealogical resources, informations for beginners and hosting services for genealogical e-mail lists and websites.
  • Cyndi’s Genealogy List — Cyndi Howells maintains a wealth of information on historical maps, genealogy of different countries, and other related information, including an excellent guide to creating your own genealogy home page.
  • Geni — This social networking site for genealogy allows users to collaborate with family members to create family trees in a secure and private environment, importing and exporting data in the standard GEDCOM format
