Programs at the Parlin Memorial Library

Story Hours:

We offer story hours forBabies(Birth-2years), Toddlers (2 years old), Preschoolers (3-5 years old), Kindergartners, and during the summer Older Children (6-8 years old). Story hours may consist of stories being read, stories being told, music, crafts, games, and special events. Parents and caregivers are always encouraged to stay; the presence of adults makes the program fuller and more interactive. Babies and two year olds must be accompanied by an adult. See our Calendar for days and times.

Chess:

The library also offers an open chess night for players at all levels to find a game, and for those just learning to get some practice. Often, an impromptu tournament will arise. See our Calendar for days and times.

Movies:

The library shows movies for public viewing. Movies are often aimed at certain age groups under such titles as Preschool, After School, Teen, and Family Movies. Please be aware of the age level being advertised for each presentation. The library has secured public performance rights for these presentations. See our Calendar for days and times.
