Summer Reading:

fizzSign up for "Fizz, Boom, Read" - this year's Summer Reading Program. Pick up a raffle ticket at the Parlin Library for every book read and recorded. Win a Kindle Fire (grades 1-6) or a Surprise Basket (preschool-K) filled with books and goodies. Click on the word "Fizz" to connect to the Reading List program. You can sign up and record your books at the library or online starting June 23th. At the end of the summer, print out your list to take back to school with you.


OverDriveDownload free ebooks and audiobooks to your reader, MP3 Player or desktop. The Library has a growing collection of EBooks and Audio Books. You can download Audio Books from your own computer or use the Parlin Library's Audio Book Download station. EBooks are currently available only from your own computer. To see what we have availabe, check the online catalog and search for keyword "ebook."

Tax Forms and Information

The Library has most common federal tax forms (1040, 1040A and 1040EZ, schedules A, B, C & D) and some specialized forms. We also have instruction books. Federal tax forms are available at the IRS website.
We have state tax booklets that include forms or you can get them online from the Mass. Dept. of Revenue.

If you wish to file online, has listings and recommendations for various programs available on the Internet.

Each newsletter includes new books that may be of interest and some older ones that you may have missed, with links to the library catalog so you can see which books are available and place requests for the ones you want to read. There are over twenty lists for readers of all ages, and you can preview them all online before subscribing.
