The following information is part of a workshop designed for faculty members who are interested in using the World Wide Web in their writing courses. The interactive workshop was delivered on June 11, 1999 as part of the Greater Boston Urban Education Collaborative THIRD ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE TEACHING OF COMPOSTION held at the University of Massachusetts Boston Campus.

There are many ways to the same thing on the WWW. Individuals and organizations are busy creating new ones everyday. Library consortiums, for example, do a great job of sensitizing themselves to their members needs and then establishing a common information search ground.
You'll find your favorites among the many offerings for educators and writing professors. A great deal of what you may discover you want to use in designing course related assignments that involve using the WWW, however, will most likely be things you've discovered on your own.
