JOB SEARCH AND CAREER EXPLORATION


Job Search

For week 3+ participants your assignment is to....................

1) Find and print at least three relevant (real), job leads found on the Web at Bunker Hill Community College

-OR-

2) Find and photocopy material from one or more of the reference books that deals with the topic of searching for a job.

3) Once you have completed #1 or #2, you should be prepared to discuss and apply what you found at the library with your Job Connection counselor.

4) While at the library, fill out a Job Lead Form for each lead. Make sure the form is filled out completely to be sure you have all the information necessary should you and your counselor decide you should apply.

Career Exploration

For Week 1 and 2 participants your assignment is to:

1) Print out any results from completing assessments on the Web (web site, jobhuntersbible.com). In addition, print out occupation list or job description, based upon your assessment.

-OR-

2) Find and photocopy a job/career description from one or more of the library reference books.

3) These materials will be used to help you to explore and learn about different careers.
