This session...
Each team needs to write its own goal. Within your team each individual may choose to take on specific responsibilities to ensure the consideration of a broad range of possibilities for your project.
MY TEAM PROJECT GOAL: ____________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
INDIVIDUAL GOALS: __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
NOTE: Keep this paper handy! You'll return to these concrete expressions of your desired outcome throughout this week as needed. As you work, there will be times when it's best to let yourself go, be creative and just investigate ideas and follow hypertext links listening to your intuition and relying on your best instincts. Serendipitous surfing is stimulating and often quite productive. There is so much to see and do on the World Wide Web, however, that you'll need to return to efficient methods of searching and gathering information if you want to ensure your effectiveness. Having a goal and being specific about the needs you want your project to meet will help you regroup as you go.
Attached is a two-sided handout that takes you through the steps of creating your own Project Start Page. There's a lot of help online if you want to learn more about creating files for the WWW and working with HTML. Some URL's that you might want to take a look at when you have time include:
http://www.it.brighton.ac.uk/~mas/mas/courses/html/html.html

Keeping it simple...
The raw method of creating your sample page is to write it in
NOTEPAD
View your creation as you work by opening your Browser and viewing the file. It's that simple!
Note: You can work off line but if you want to test your links you'll need to be connected to the Internet.
The rough draft of your starting page should look something like this...

I routinely use the following links when working on my Tech Team Project for the Boston Public School System
MetroLINC | Networking Communities Forum |I am working with three teams so it helps to be familiar with the schools they represent.
