Materials Donation Policy
BHCC library welcomes donations of funds and/or appropriate teaching, learning and research materials. Faculty and staff members are encouraged to offer copies or their publications as donations to the library.
As most other donations cannot be accepted for the library's collection, the BHCC Library and Learning Commons encourages those wishing to donate their books to use services such as:

GotBooks.com to donate books, or
-
Bookins.com to trade books or DVDs for other books or DVDs, or
-
Half.com to sell books and media in good condition.
Ownership: Donated materials become the property of BHCC library.
Guidelines for acceptance
Donations should:
- Fall within the library's collection development policy.
- Be in good physical condition and without any marks.
- Have current publication date or content.
- Donations of previous edition of titles will not be accepted when newer editions are held.
- Cost for the processing of materials should not prevail the value of the donated materials.
- Serials are not accepted as duplicate issues and single issues, unless they replace gaps and/or missing ones.
Materials Donations Form: is available in both electronic and print formats. The completed form with attached list of materials must be submitted and approved by library staff before delivering materials to the library.
Library acquisitions department will provide a letter of acceptance with the monetary value ot the donation upon the request of the donor.
Delivery:The
library requires the donor to take responsibility for delivery of the
donated materials.
