LIBRARY ACCESS GUIDELINES FOR DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS

The BHCC Library issues library card numbers to Distance Learning students who are unable to come to campus because of geographic distance. Students are required to fill out a Library card number application form in Microsoft Word format and submit this application to bhcclibrary@bhcc.mass.edu as an email attachment.

The application is also available in PDF format here: Library card number application form in PDF format (Read-Only)

If you are enrolled in at least one campus-based class (these meet in person on the BHCC campuses), do not submit this form. You must come to the Chelsea or Charlestown Campus ID Stations to get a BHCC ID, which serves as the library card. Click here for more information.

NOTE: All students are encouraged to visit the BHCC Library on the 3rd floor of E-Building on the Charlestown campus. During the spring and fall semesters, the library is open in the evening and on weekends, and is staffed with library professionals who are skilled in helping the BHCC community recognize and understand information retrieval options.
