The BHCC Library provides access to three large collections of eBooks and eAudiobooks, as well as a growing selection of individual, subject-specific titles. We also have provided links to several ebook resources that are available for free online.

General Topic Collections
ebrary - ebrary is large collection of eBooks spanning multiple subject areas. With ebrary you can search and view the full text of thousands of books through your web browser. You can also create a free ebrary account which allows you to highlight text, take notes, and create a personalized bookshelf.
Overdrive - Overdrive is a large collection of popular eBooks and eAudiobooks. You can use your BHCC library card to download full-text eBooks to your computer or eBook reader. eAudiobooks play on most computers and portable music players. Click here to see a list of compatible devices.
EBSCO eBook Collection - A large collection of popular eBooks available with your BHCC library card. eBooks are viewable directly in most web browsers.
Project Gutenberg - The original free eBook collection. Download over 30,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, iPhone, Kindle, Sony Reader or other portable device.
The Internet Archive - The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization that was founded to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format.
Google Books - Google books provides access to millions of ebooks. Some titles offer full-text while others only offer limited previews. Google offers the following explanation: "If a book is out of copyright, or the publisher has given permission, you'll be able to see a preview of the book, and in some cases the entire text. If it's in the public domain, you're free to download a PDF copy."
Hathi Trust Digital Library - HathiTrust is a partnership of major research institutions and libraries working to ensure that the cultural record is preserved and accessible long into the future. The collection contains over 8 million volumes to date in a wide range of languages and subject areas.
