How do I contact the Lending Services Desk?
How do I get a library card?
- Bring your BHCC Student ID card to the Lending Services desk; you will be asked to fill out a user's registration form. You will notice there is a barcode number on the back of your ID card. This barcode enables you to check out books and back-dated periodicals.
How many items may I borrow?
- You are allowed a total of 5 materials or back-dated periodicals for 14 days; these items may be renewed twice. However, if another patron submits a request for the material, the renewal option will be denied.
- Yes, reference materials, current periodicals, and vertical file materials are not to be taken out of the library.
How do I renew a book?
- The easiest way is to use your PIN Number and do it yourself.Otherwise,come to the Lending Services desk with the book or call 617-228-2213. Be sure to have your library card # handy.
- You will be charged a fine of 10 cents per day per item.
- 10 cents per page. Photocopy machines accept change or bills in denominations of $1.00 and $5.00 . Only use bills if you plan to make a large number of copies.
